QuioPDF ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

QuioPDF collects minimal information to provide its service:

• Device identifier: A random UUID generated on your device and stored in your device's Keychain. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity.
• Usage events: Anonymous, opt-in telemetry about feature usage (e.g. "opened a PDF", "used scanner"). No document content is ever transmitted.
• App settings: Your preferences (scan language, OCR quality) are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults).

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal contact information.
• We do not read, upload, or transmit the content of your PDF documents.
• We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA).
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites.

How We Use Information

The device identifier is used solely to authenticate your device with our backend and to associate your subscription status with your device. Anonymous usage events help us understand which features are most useful and improve the app.

Data Storage and Security

Your PDF files are stored locally on your device. The device identifier is stored in your device's Keychain, which is protected by iOS security mechanisms. Anonymous telemetry is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on our servers in the EU.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment information. Subscription status is verified through Apple's StoreKit framework.

Children's Privacy

QuioPDF is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
